Remote Control Freezing

W and I were looking at the globe today and musing about weather in the North Pole, South Pole and around the Equator. Then we pulled out our Lonely Planet Travel Book (this thing is great. Buy one now.) and looked at photos, population and favorite foods of Antarctica.

In one photo you can see huge glaciers that plummet into icy cold water. "How do you get out of that water?" W asked.

"You don't go in water like that," I said. "It's too cold."

"What if you do go in?" he said.

"You go like this," I said and I froze my face and hands as if in icy surprise.

"What," W said. "Someone puts you on Pause?"

I guess we've watched enough DVD's in our lifetime.
